The Bush administration is preparing us for more terrorist attacks. The latest intelligence report says that Al Qaeda has regrouped, rebuilt, and has the ability to come after us again. “Al Qaeda will intensify its efforts to put operatives here,” says the report.

Fresh off the ABC Blog, The Blotter, Brian Ross headline reads FBI: Iraqis Being Smuggled Across the Rio Grande

For more than a year, it appears, a *smuggling ring* has been illegally importing Iraqi’s and other middle eastern individuals (read “terrorists”), because the profit on Mexicans has gone way down.

Those evil Iraqi’s, obviously wanting to do us harm for invading their country, I mean for our freedom.

To be honest, I’m surprised it’s not the Iranians, but that would’ve been too obvious, but maybe the “middle eastern individuals” are Iranians?

Remember folks, we’re over there so we don’t have to fight them here.

Now, if you’ve read anything I’ve written over the last month, you know my tendency is to read this as more priming of the terror pump. Getting us ready for the next “false flag operation”.

These, so called investigative reports, give the impression that Brian Ross is a shill for the Bush Administration.

I mean, didn’t you notice the investigation revealed the opposite of the headline?

So why isn’t there an investigation into why the FBI is putting out this information? Now that would be investigative reporting!

But watch the reaction, read the comments.

Mission accomplished.

The knee jerkers from the “Immigration is Destroying our Country” camp see this as proof positive that we need to build a wall around the entire US and shoot anyone that tries to get in or out.

Why can’t they see they are being duped? Why can’t they see that the powers that be have created this ‘false threat’ to keep them pre-occupied?

If protecting the border is such a priority, why don’t we have 20,000 border patrol agents? If we paid them $60k/yr, we’re only talking $1.2 billion/yr. We spend that every four days in Iraq.

I’m more afraid of the latter.

Granted this magazine is wishing the apocalypse on all of us, but I visited several of the Israeli news sites and the coming war with Iran is so prevalent, you’d think there was a propaganda machine at work.

Not surprising, but definitely scary, the website Newsmax, in the piece Iran’s Threat to the Word is beating the war drums trying to convince an unwilling nation that war with Iran is necessary. If you read the post, please put the Zionazi filter on your reading glasses.

But I thought we were still debating this issue?

Back in February, Pelosi said that the president didn’t have the authority to invade Iran without specific approval from Congress.

Then there was the Andrews Amendment on Iran, it was introduced in the Defense Authorization Bill for 2008 which would have prevented funds authorized for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan from being obligated or expended to plan a contingency operation in Iran.

Oh yeah, I remember, it was defeated by a narrow 216-212 margin, with 19 abstentions (including Speaker Pelosi, I wonder why she abstained?).

I’m guessing we’re being played again by this government and the rulers behind the scenes. Is it time for the next“Bay of Tonkin” event? Or maybe Israel is pressuring Bush to commit?

Zbigniew Brzezinski, outlined a probable scenario to an escalation to war with Iran, in his appearance before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations on February 1st of this year.

If the United States continues to be bogged down in a protracted bloody involvement in Iraq, the final destination on this downhill track is likely to be a head-on conflict with Iran and with much of the world of Islam at large. A plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran involves Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks; followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure; then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the U.S. blamed on Iran; culminating in a “defensive” U.S. military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
A mythical historical narrative to justify the case for such a protracted and potentially expanding war is already being articulated. Initially justified by false claims about WMD’s in Iraq, the war is now being redefined as the “decisive ideological struggle” of our time, reminiscent of the earlier collisions with Nazism and Stalinism. In that context, Islamist extremism and al Qaeda are presented as the equivalents of the threat posed by Nazi Germany and then Soviet Russia, and 9/11 as the equivalent of the Pearl Harbor attack which precipitated America’s involvement in World War II.

Sounds about right to me. We’re being prepped for something.

We need to stand up for what’s right.

Iran is no threat to the United States. We need to stop doing Israels bidding. They do not have our interests at heart, they do what’s right for them. They are a repressive regime actively promoting the unstability in the region and dead set on a war with Iran.

I read in the news this week that Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff said he had a “gut feeling” that the nation faces a heightened chance of an attack this summer.

Nothing concrete, mind you, just a gut feeling, you know, cause these al qaidans like to do their terror in warm weather.

And my summer was going so well.

So, here is our “Homeland Security” (I hate that name, doesn’t that bring the Nazi SS to mind), well, anyway, our homeland security czar is busy putting fuel in the terror tank.

Doesn’t anyone think this is weird?

Especially in light of former senator, now lobbyist, Rick Santorum’s cat spilling from the bag claim on the Hugh Hewitt radio program about some kind of terror attack like what just happened in UK.

“…between now and November, a lot of things are going to happen, and I believe that by this time next year, the American public’s going to have a very different view of this war, and it will be because, I think, of some unfortunate events, that like we’re seeing unfold in the UK.

Don’t they know we’re paying attention?

“I believe we are entering a period this summer of increased risk,” Chertoff told the ChicagoTribune editorial board.

“Summertime seems to be appealing to them,” Chertoff said in his discussion with the newspaper about terrorists.

Summertime “seems to be appealing” to Al Qaeda. Does it really? Anything other than your gut tell you that?

Robin Cook, former Leader of the House of Commons, that resigned over his opposition to the Iraq War explained that, “Al-Qaida, literally “the database”, was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians.”

Now, why haven’t we learned that on the evening news?

CIA trained? Are we so sure that they aren’t still CIA trained? If the CIA were involved, how about MI6? or Mossad?

Doesn’t anyone remember the fake al qaeda in Palestine?

Mysteriously, the former British Parliamentarian that revealed this truth, died of a heart attack at the age of 59, on his descent from a successful mountain climb, a few months later.

But that’s another story.

These days, the media will take anything that falls outside a very narrow definition of mainstream and label it a “conspiracy theory”, which they will then make an object of ridicule.

The masses eat this up.

Meanwhile, since the allegation that “X” is a conspiracy theory, they’re under no obligation to investigate it.

So, qui bono? (Latin for “who benefits?”)

Who benefits from a terror attack?

Are you so blind?

How does the “database” benefit?

Ask yourself how the multi-national corporations benefit. Ask yourself how the defense industry benefits. Ask yourself how the power elite in government benefit.

Time for a “Gut Check” America. Where’s Colbert when you need him?

Olbermann: Bush, Cheney should resign

Olbermann continues to prove that he and Edward R. Murrow are cut from the same cloth.

I especially love this quote.

We of this time—and our leaders in Congress, of both parties—must now live up to those standards which echo through our history: Pressure, negotiate, impeach—get you, Mr. Bush, and Mr. Cheney, two men who are now perilous to our Democracy, away from its helm.

Last week, I read this headline, “FBI to restrict student freedoms”.  Man, talk about your viral news story. It’s on every blog I know and a ton of them I never heard of.

Where’s the coverage in the MSM? (silence….cricket chirping)  Nada. Yet another example of the media in lockstep with our fascist government. Goebbells would be proud. After all, the Webster definition of fascism is a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. Welcome to the USA.

I mean, think about this, it is a real constitutional issue. Can the government tell you who you can associate with? It seems obvious that even though the freedom to associate is not a listed freedom, it is implied in the First Amendment guarantee that we have the freedom to freely assemble. Okay, I’m no lawyer and words can be tricky.

The freedom of association is an essential part of our guaranteed Freedom of Speech and the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process clause. Again, I’m no lawyer, but it’s pretty clear that if you can’t join together, you can’t be with like-minded people and talk about things you want to.

Ron Paul Speech in Iowa. Crowd was estimated at 1000+ by folks in attendance that counted the chairs. The Iowans for Tax Relief forum only drew 600+.
