It’s a sad day. 

I’ve been scanning the news headlines and am now convinced that we are being primed by the media for a terror event.

It all started the other afternoon when I was in the airport picking up my daughter from a trip to California. An announcement came over the speaker system, “the TSA has announced that the U.S. threat level is Orange for all domestic and international flights.”

I said out loud to my wife, “Orange is High, what’s that all about?  I guess all this talk trying to provoke Iran into war needs a boost to gain any traction. Talk about peddling fear to travelers.”

I quickly realized I better watch what I say whilst hanging out in Big Brothers biggest playground. You never know who is listening. I felt like I was in the MATRIX.  You know, where anyone can become an agent Smith of the state.

When I got home, I came across a headline that read  ” Iran revolutionary guards crossing into Iraq “ .

My immediate reaction was of disbelief. Nobody I know is advocating war with Iran, except the ignorant hordes or unthinking friends of Israel. It seemed contrived. I mean why would Iran do such a thing, knowing the consequences? 

Well, the amazing thing about this article is that the body of it casts doubt upon the title.  The headline will now be bandied about as truth, already appearing in most of the British tabloids.  Mission accomplished.

I tried to find this story in the MSM, but there was nothing.  I did find a reference under the headline: Iran Protests Israel’s Threats  an Associated Press article about UN complaint filed by Iran. Near the end …

• Carolyn Vadino, deputy spokeswoman at the U.S. mission, said the presence of Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces in Iraq “contradicts Iran’s own policy of supporting the Iraqi government.”

Where’s the proof of the allegation? They don’t really need any, it’s just a seed.

That’s the pattern.

You’ll see a shocking headline on Yahoo News, MSN News, or any host of other news websites. If you actually take the time to read it, you’ll discern that it was a fabrication. But the masses, on their way to Paris Hilton getting out of jail or Lindsay Lohan going back to rehab, only get the headline.  And they believe it.

Does anyone remember the National Security Presidential Directive that in the event of a terror attack it gives near dictatorial powers to the office of the president if he designates it a national emergency?

Then last night I saw another headline- FBI Enlists Help of Scuba Instructors with instructors from Missouri saying that the FBI was compiling a list of certified divers.  Not criminals mind you, but law abiding Americans that dive as a hobby.

Anyway, it smells like we’re going to have another attack, one that makes 9/11 look small.

Don’t say you didn’t know it was coming. They’re leaving you trails.
