Ron Paul Freedom March or the Grassroots Freedom Rally?

If you’ve been following the Ron Paul Campaign, you know that Ron published a video ,you know the one that says he’s still in the race, but not really. Towards the end he says he has an idea that we should march on Washington.
Funny thing is the grassroots already had a march on the agenda, the Freedom Rally headed up by the grannywarriors.
I got to wondering if this was the campaign HQ trying to sabotage another grassroots effort? It’s just a thought, since they have yet to set a date or communicate with the grassroots since taking the reins over a month ago.
So what do you suppose happened?
The grannies are being attacked by the “not-so friendly fire” of their fellow revolutionaries using the same neocon namecalling rhetoric that got us shackled with the so-called “Patriot Act”. The Ron Paul sheep,(yes, I said sheep) claim that the grannies should cancel their march and wait for the Ron Paul Campaign Headquarters to set a march date.
Which got this beautiful response:
NO WE DON’T
To date they have let things slide, put off needed projects and in total have done more to circumvent the success of this campaign than can be imagined. If you feel that the campaign committee has done a great job in winning this election or even the primarys then you need to re-evaluate the results we have seen. We had to institute the Recount, We had to make the news, We had to rally the troops with the meetup groups and the Grassroots working over time..
WE HAVE RAISED THE FUNDS FOR THIS ENTIRE CAMPAIGN.
We have taken no salary, we have spent our own time and money with no appreciation from the Campaign Hq. The only time they recognize us is when they need more money then they put out a notice of needing even more. The campaign brags about the Military being the biggest donors to this campaign yet the salary of a enlisted Military man is approximately $40.00 a day to provide a living wage for their family plus they are being shot at and have given up so much for all of us.. The Campaign HQ director receives a $1000.00 a day in salary plus expenses and gives up nothing, not even the decency of being respectful to the people who call or visit the offices
Is this the type of people we want representing us and our Revolution?
Or planning our protest?
The Grassroots people can and will do a much better job for Ron and the Revolution.
I love these grannies.
I always side with grannies, maybe in the hopes I’ll be adopted 
but actually the older I get the more I see that there is a perspective that can only be gained by breathing longer than the next guy. And it’s in our interest to pay attention when grannies and grampas have something to say.
These grannies have tapped the source and it’s not Ron Paul. Whether you are 9-11 truther or an anti-war patriot, a lifelong republicrat or newly awakened freedom fighter it’s liberty and freedom and that’s what resonates with the people.
Here’s an excellent suggestion to the Ron Paul Campaign for their march as posited by Devvy Kidd about why she doesn’t support the Ron Paul Freedom March on Washington DC and calls for a march on the GOP convention.
Another excellent idea and true to the grassroots effort.
We are at a crossroads and we need to act. We can no longer sit on the side lines and watch others take a stand. We all need to stand with the grannies in April and then march on the GOP convention.
I think this is where Ron Paul went wrong, he’s supposed to be running for president, he’s not the one to spread the message, its not his message, it’s America’s message and spreading it is the grassroots job.
We need to take back our country.
This is no longer about elections and political parties. So don’t get sidetracked by the narrowminded GOP loyalists or the so-called patriots. It’s about our freedom.

I just signed their pledge and appreciate the link.
I am a little suspicious of the group however.
They are clearly a demoblican leaning group with the all the founding members active DNC types.
I appreciate all they have done in presenting the truth of the Bush administration, but know firsthand that they are pushing democrats for the presidential nomination.
Beware of the folks with a specific political agenda in the freedom movement. At the first opportunity, they will steer the discourse to their special interest and sell out the movement.

I also petitioned the “official” campaign wint and article entitled Ron Paul Scrap the DC March via the Nolan Chart. I believed from the beginning the march on DC was misguided at best and was curious that they would suggest an alternate march when there had activists planning a march all on their own over at the “Daily Dose”. Seemed it would have been more efficient to simply sign on to that one. I’m predisposed to cynicism and conspiracy theories. The Paul camaign has done more to stoke those feelings than quell them.

Same here. Once your eyes have been opened to one thing, the rest comes crashing down around you.
We’re having our primary today in Ohio. The feelings of “why bother” are all over the place to the people I’ve spoken with.
I guess we’ll see if all the work we did here will have any effect. I have yet to hear one Ron Paul ad. Too bad for us.
I was telling a friend that if this freedom movement turns to a violent uprising, we are going to be severely disadvantaged as the government has been preparing for this day and is equipped for it.
A band of computer programmers and designers going up against the police state sounds good on paper.

We will fight and we will win! Now that the population is being educated, more and more everyday, america will wake up! I am just glad to say that no matter what happens with Ron Paul’s campaign, at least I am now aware, and so are so many others. This process will continue on and on until everyone is aware! I personally have Ron Paul to thank for that!
Well I guess I have my dad to thank, since he is the one who told me about Ron Paul!
To me, this whole thing, the presidential election, campaigning, etc. is just part of what is to come.
I believe that people will realize that the way of life as we have known it, will not be the same if we continue to spend all this money overseas. If we continue to let the government spend money on unimportant things. When people see that the price of food and gas is going to continue to rise, and the stock market continuing to drop, America will have no choice but to wake up and do something about it. I am just glad that Ron Paul gave me a heads up, so that I can explain to people that live in la di da America, about what is happening in the world, and that we have to change it!

I watched the Michael Moore movie Sicko last night, I don’t know if you have seen it, but it was pretty interesting!
It comes to make me think, can America survive on the path it is on at all? Or should we all move to other countries?

I haven’t seen “Sicko” yet, but I’ve been avoiding things that will make me more paranoid than I already am.
I’ve been looking at other countries lately, but there aren’t too many where we can go that haven’t been infected by us.
I can’t even go to Canada.
